LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - An overnight fire caused an estimated $50,000 in damage to a south Lincoln apartment building.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue was called to the Villa Tierra Apartments near 27th Street and Tierra Drive at 12:11 a.m.
LFR spokeswoman MJ Lierman said the fire started on a stove and spread to the walls inside an apartment on the third floor.
Occupants evacuated safely before firefighters arrived on the scene.
Three floors sustained water damage. The third floor also sustained smoke damage.
One person and two visiting family members were relocated following the fire. No injuries were reported.
The fire inspector on scene estimated the damage at $50,000.
