BARBOURSVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) — One person is in the hospital in stable condition after shots were fired early Thanksgiving morning at a gathering of more than 100 people in Barboursville, according to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to Toms Road in the early morning hours Thursday after reports of gunfire at what investigators describe as a “roving party” that moves from county to county. When law enforcement arrived, most of the crowd fled the scene, leaving behind evidence of a fight and multiple spent shell casings from several different caliber weapons.
