HURON – Ambulance response time figures in Huron County are more than a year out of date, Huron’s emergency services director Jeff Horseman says.

Horseman appeared before county council during the Nov. 19 meeting with a report on the county’s ambulance response times, but he told councillors he was presenting figures that had previously been brought to council in 2023 because the province has yet to update the numbers as they roll out the new Medical Priority Dispatch System (MPDS) across Ontario.

“Unfortunately, since the province started to roll out the MPDS dispatching system . . . they failed to update their website with all the other response times,” said Horseman. “I was not able to update the stats from the previous report.”
