A man was stabbed in the neck and arm after disorder broke out in the Midlands.

West Midlands Police were called to Smithford Way, Coventry, after trouble erupted near the Greggs shop around 8am on Thursday (November 27).

They found an injured man who was taken to hospital.

At around 10am, a 34-year-old man was arrested on Stoney Stanton Road and he remains in custody this evening.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen what happened to contact them.
