OAKLAND, Maine (WABI) - Fire officials say one person was taken to a Waterville hospital following a reported explosion in Oakland on Thanksgiving.

The Oakland Fire Chief tells us the house has been completely destroyed and the properties on either side of were also damaged.

Neighbors tell us the explosion blew the windows out of the home on Lakeview Drive.

No word on any injuries or what may have caused the explosion.
