Police have launched an appeal after a man died following a collision near Lidl in Calcot, Reading.
The man, in his 60s, was crossing the road at 6.30am yesterday when it is believed he was involved in a collision with at least one vehicle, Thames Valley Police said. He died of his injuries at the scene despite the best efforts of the emergency services.
The road was closed while investigations were carried out, but has since reopened. A 41-year-old man from Reading was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving, and has since been released under investigation.
