Chilly Thanksgiving With Sunshine and Gusty Winds

Thanksgiving Day delivered beautiful sunshine across Central and Eastern Kentucky, but it certainly didn’t feel warm. Afternoon highs only made it into the upper 30s for many of us, and with breezy northwest winds gusting near 20 mph at times, wind chills were stuck in the 20s for most of the day.

Clouds that developed early in the day across northern Kentucky gradually shifted east, allowing the sunshine to take over for the afternoon. By sunset, winds began to weaken, setting the stage for another very cold night.
