LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Walgreens is recalling more than 41,000 bottles of its saline nasal spray with xylitol over concerns the product may be contaminated with bacteria.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, two lots of Walgreens Saline Nasal Spray with Xylitol — numbers 71409 and 71861 — may contain a bacterium commonly found in raw milk.
Walgreens said the recall is being issued out of an abundance of caution. The company is urging customers who purchased the product to return it to any Walgreens location for a full refund.
No injuries or illnesses have been reported.
