GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - ECU police are investigating after suspects reportedly pointed a gun at someone walking near the ECU Student Recreation Center.

The report, police say, was made around 8:30 p.m. by a pedestrian who said it happened when they were walking on Cotanche Street around 8:11 p.m. Thursday.

The pedestrian told police they believe there were around seven boys wearing dark hoodies.

They were last seen walking on the sidewalk south away from campus toward 10th Street.

ECU police are investigating. They ask anyone with information to contact them at 252-328-6787.
