Concerns over potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination prompted a nationwide recall involving several cheese products supplied to Boar’s Head Brand, according to notices released Monday by Supreme Service Solutions LLC and Boar’s Head. The action follows a voluntary recall initiated by Ambriola Company, which manufactures pecorino romano cheese for multiple retailers and food brands.
Federal officials were notified after Ambriola learned that select lots of grated pecorino romano may be contaminated.
