BATAVIA — Nine area senior veterans were celebrated for their military service with “Veteran Hero Boxes” by the Senior Wishes organization earlier this month.

The recognition was part of Senior Wishes’ Veterans Week observance in which 175 Hero Boxes were distributed to senior veterans across Western New York. The boxes were delivered Nov. 13.
