A woman has described the moment her boyfriend was stabbed in the heart by her "raging and angry" teenage cousin.

Speaking to police in a video interview recorded just two days after the fatality, Shannon Byrne recalled how Paige Poulton had knifed Jack Cadwallader during a row at a flat in Harrietsham in the early hours of July 2 last year.

Ms Byrne, who had just discovered she was pregnant with the 25-year-old's child, told officers her 19-year-old relative had been waving the implement around before plunging it "really hard" into his chest.

Mr Cadwallader, who had had a one-night stand with Poulton before starting a relationship with Ms Byrne in 2021, collapsed almost immediately and died despite the efforts of his partner, friends and medical staff.
