Columbia County is getting its newest Chick-fil-A a little closer to Thurmond Lake.
Documents filed recently with the county detail a proposal to build a location of the popular fast-food chicken restaurant on a 2.2-acre outparcel at Riverwood Town Center, the commercial development near Greenbrier schools in Evans.
The 5,033-square-foot restaurant would seat 92 diners with room for 72 parking spaces, according to a concept plan accompanying the proposal. A two-lane drive-thru would wrap around the building.
The restaurant would sit at the intersection of Washington Road and Market View Parkway.
The Columbia County Planning Commission is scheduled to consider the conditional use for the property at its next meeting Dec. 4.
