Latest weather maps show exactly when and which parts of the North East are likely to get snow this weekend. According to the Met Office, Saturday will be a rainy day for many but there are also set to be wintry showers in some places.

Areas including Newcastle, Northumberland , Gateshead , Sunderland , North and South Tyneside and County Durham are forecast to see rain and hail on Saturday, November 29. This will be the picture for most of the day.
