EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) - The 14th annual 'Stuffing the Pantry 5K' took place on Thursday in East Longmeadow, drawing over 1,400 participants to raise funds for the Open Pantry.

Springfield High offers free Thanksgiving meal for those in need

The event, held on Thanksgiving Day, is a community tradition aimed at supporting local food banks. Participants of all ages gathered to run and donate, with all proceeds going directly to the Open Pantry.

"It's just a really humbling experience," said Nicholas Smith, a first-time participant in the run. "It kind of grounds you and brings you back to reality and makes you focus on the things that matter most."
