SEVEN HILLS, Ohio

Theft, Broadview Road: On Oct. 30, an O’Reilly Auto Parts manager called police after suspecting an employee of stealing money from the Broadview Road business.

The caller said the Parma employee -- after working with customers -- would manipulate the purchase to look as though they returned the product.

He would then pocket the cash from the cash register.

The roughly 30 thefts began in the summer and resulted in stealing more than $6,200 in cash from the register.

The employee, who admitted to the crime, was arrested for theft.
