Riverfront Alliance of Delaware County recently held Jumpstart Chester’s inaugural graduation ceremony.
The Jumpstart Chester program is designed to provide opportunities for residents to develop and invest in neighborhood residential development projects. This program can improve neighborhood safety and raise property values through blight and vacancy reduction in Chester, according to the alliance.
Jumpstart is a new model for community development that provides training, mentoring, networking and financing options for aspiring local developers.
According to a news release:
The program consist of classes that will provide the participants with a working knowledge of real estate acquisition, financing, construction and more.
