A 'predatory' man has been jailed with conspiracy to rape a child. ‌

Paul Chalmers , 69, was caged for for three years and nine months following an intelligence-led operation into online child sexual abuse and exploitation. ‌

He was sentenced at Edinburgh High Court on Friday, November, 28, for the offences, which included conspiracy to rape a child. Chalmers has also slapped with an order of lifelong restriction. The twisted beast was arrested by cops on Thursday, January, 25, last year after he travelled to Edinburgh to meet what he believed to be a child he had been engaging with online.
