A female cyclist was being treated in London hospital Friday following a collision Thursday with an SUV parked on a street in Sarnia.
The 54-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital with what police described as “significant” injuries from the collision with a parked vehicle on Margaret Street just before noon, police said.
The cyclist, who was not identified by police, was taken to Bluewater Health in Sarnia and transferred to London hospital where she was said to be in critical but stable condition Friday, according to police.
Surveillance video shows a cyclist travelling south on Margaret Street and appearing to be looking down, with a hood possibly obstructing their vision, before colliding with the back of a legally-parked SUV, police said.
