Strictly Come Dancing's Amy Dowden has revealed she has landed a new presenting role on a hit BBC show.

The professional dancer is currently unable to perform on Strictly Come Dancing as she recovers from a second mastectomy.

But tonight (Friday, November 28) she is appearing on another BBC show, and this time will be hosting.

Amy, 35, will be presenting The One Show on BBC One at 7pm, she revealed on Instagram.

The hit show sees around 3 million people tune in each night.

Amy revealed in an Instagram post: "Heading to the @bbctheoneshow tonight. Tune in or catch up on @bbciplayer if you can.

"Feeling so very grateful right now. Happy Friday all! Welsh love."
