ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. (WCAX) - With Thanksgiving in the rearview, Vermonters turned their attention to Christmas on Friday as hundreds poured into tree farms looking for the perfect Christmas tree.
The Goldfried family scoured White’s Tree Farm in Essex Junction, taking every aspect of the trees into consideration: height, width and character.
“It’s a family tradition to come on the Friday after Thanksgiving. We come first thing as soon as we can, get our tree and get it up right away,” said Katrina Goldfried of Essex.
With thousands of trees to pick from, it can be a tough decision.
“It’s a fun process. We always land on one really early, but then we start walking through, and we always land on a really beautiful tree,” said Evan Goldfried of Essex.
