Several objects believed to be debris connected to the Cessna aircraft that went missing Monday night were discovered, according to New Orleans police.
The New Orleans Police Department, along with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office LASER Division and the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office, conducted specialized sonar exploration and imagery on Monday and Tuesday. Advertisement
According to NOPD, several objects were identified and examined by the NOPD Dive team and believed to be debris connected to the aircraft.
NOPD said due to challenging weather conditions, search operations have been challenging on Lake Pontchartrain, but agencies are actively engaged as the investigation continues.
