GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Packers were able to retain their backup kicker.
Lucas Havrisik signed to the Packers practice squad two days after he was released from the 53-man roster. With three elevations to the active roster for gameday available, Havrisik should be able to help if starting kicker Brandon McManus is unable to perform his duties in a pinch.
The Packers had kept Havrisik on their active roster since he debuted as an injury replacement for McManus in their Week 6 win against the Cincinnati Bengals . Havrisik was perfect on field goal attempts and extra points against the Bengals and Arizona Cardinals , including a franchise record kick of 61 yards in Arizona. But he missed a pair of extra points replacing McManus on a blustery day at the New York Giants .
