Writing on the Hall: Brave Little City

For those who haven’t heard already, Rutland was recently the subject of Vermont Public’s “Brave Little State.”

The show can be streamed online. It starts by asking why Rutland has a poor reputation, and answers it with a brief history of the city’s drug problem. I’m not sure anyone who’s lived here for any length of time will learn that much from it, but a relative newcomer refers to Rutland as “a really classy, nice Akron, Ohio.”
