Middletown used a quick offensive start and a strong defensive performance to win the 2025 DIAA Class 3A Football Championship 28-14 over Salesianum.

The Cavaliers scored on their first four drives of the game, two of which that started in Salesianum territory, to put the pressure on one of Delaware's top defenses throughout the season.

Quarterback Darien Cunningham came out strong, completing 6 of his first 8 passes for 182 yards and three touchdowns, finding Darius Pope for a 73-yard score on the third play of the game, and then DJ Davis and BJ Garrett for touchdown scores.

Hanif Miller's one-yard touchdown run capped off a 67-yard drive that put the Cavaliers up 28-7 with 8:13 still to play in the first half.
