DURHAM, N.C. – An emotional season came to an end for the Washington women's soccer team came on Friday. The Huskies fell to Duke, 3-0, in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.

The Huskies finish their season in the round of eight for the third time in program history, joining the 2004 and 2010 teams.

Duke did all the scoring. Kat Rader opened the scoring in the 35' with a goal at the near post.

In the second half, Blue Devils' midfielder Devin Lynch rocketed a strike from distance for a 2-0 lead.

Duke got some insurance late in the match. Mia Minestrella took advantage of UW’s aggressive attack forward, hitting on the counter to extend the lead to 3-0.
