The Chicago Bears accomplished a few important things with their victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Black Friday.

The Bears knocked off the Eagles 24-15 at Lincoln Financial Field on Friday, and it is hard to describe it as anything other than a massive win for the franchise. With the victory, they ensured they'll exit Week 13 with an outright lead in the NFC North, pulling back ahead of the Green Bay Packers after they moved into a tie for the divisional lead with a Thanksgiving win over the Lions. They proved they are legitimate NFC Championship and Super Bowl contenders this season by knocking off the defending Super Bowl champs and current NFC East leaders, the Eagles.

But there is one other milestone they achieved in the victory that isn't quite as important to the outcome of this season as those first two accomplishments. But what it did do is snap a 40-year drought for the Bears in one interesting statistical category while signaling that the Bears do, in fact, have one of the NFL's elite rushing offenses.

In the victory over the Eagles, the Bears used a two-headed monster to attack their opponent in the run game, and both of those heads had big-time performances. Rookie Kyle Monangai led the team in rushing with 130 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries, with sixth-year veteran D'Andre Swift tallying 18 carries and accumulating 125 yards and one touchdown. With both backs hitting over 100 yards on the ground, they became the first Dears duo to rush for 100-or-more yards each since 1985, when Pro Football Hall of Famer Walter Payton and Matt Suhey accomplished the feat against the Lions.

Swift now has tallied 649 rushing yards and four touchdowns this season, while Monangai has added 461 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Both players are among the Top 30 players in the NFL in total rushing yards this season. And while the single-game milestone has little practical effect for the team, it never hurts the franchise's morale when you can shatter a record that has been in place for 40 years.
