As Black Friday kicks off the Christmas holiday season, places all across the state are bringing in the yuletide cheer.
As day turned into dusk at Lake Compounce, a switch was flipped transforming the amusement park into a winter wonderland, lighting up the giant Christmas tree. The park is celebrating the last year of their annual holiday lights event.

“The bright lights makes it feel seasonal. The candy cane trees and everything, it's great,” said Terry Boucher, of Middletown.
Main Street serves as the canvas for many of the half million Christmas lights inside the park. They also help the state’s tallest Christmas tree stand out in photo-ops for families.
