A Wilmington man is facing felony drug charges after State Police stopped him at a Thanksgiving Day DUI checkpoint.
When 22-year-old Wajahne Leggett drove up to the checkpoint on State Route 9 near Municipal Road in New Castle around 12:15 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning, troopers could see cash and what they suspected were packages of marijuana in Leggett's car, Delaware State Police said.
A search of the car turned up 481 grams of pot and $1230.00 in what police think are proceeds from drug sales.
Leggett was turned over to New Castle City police, who booked him for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 1, or felony-level quantity.
