ANN ARBOR – Michigan’s football team saw its Big Ten title game and College Football Playoff hopes vanish Saturday with a 27-9 loss to No. 1 Ohio State.

The 15 th -ranked Wolverines entered their regular season finale riding a five-game win streak, but they were stonewalled by a hungry Buckeyes team that had won its previous 10 games by 18-plus points.

The scenes in both locker rooms were polar opposites after the high-stakes rivalry game. OSU clinched a spot in the Big Ten championship and improved to 12-0 while snapping a four-game losing streak in the series. Michigan finishes 9-3 and 7-2 in the Big Ten.
