NORWALK, Conn. (WFSB) - Five firefighters were hospitalized and 12 people were displaced after a house fire in Norwalk on Saturday afternoon, the Norwalk Fire Department said.
Crews responded to 29 Bayview Ave. for the fire around 2:30 p.m.
The fire department said there was fire on all three floors of the home.
Four of the firefighters were released from the hospital, but one remained in the burn unit, the deputy fire chief said.
The occupants of the home evacuated safely without injuries.
Authorities said 12 people were displaced and were working with the American Red Cross to find housing.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
