MINNEAPOLIS— The Paul Bunyan's Axe is staying in Minnesota for a second straight year.
This was the perfect Big Ten Football game: snow, not a lot of scoring, and at times the ugliest brand of football you can imagine.
Minnesota quarterback Drake Lindsey was efficient through the air as he went 18 of 24 for 90 yards and one touchdown.
Meanwhile, Wisconsin quarterback Carter Smith who had started the team's past three games was mostly sidelined due to ineffectiveness. Smith did throw a touchdown to tight end Jackson Acker before the half expired. Wisconsin head coach Luke Fickell decided to go with the veteran Hunter Simmons who had his moments, including a 67-yard reception to Vinny Anthony II that led to the Acker touchdown.
