An elderly mum and dad were left screaming "help us" after their son allegedly beat them and set fire to their home , leaving them to burn to death as he escaped.

Police have charged Darius Hazard, 44, with arson and two counts of murder following the deaths of Venture and Donald Hazard, who died in a fire at their home in North Adams, Massacheussets, on November 24. Police said Hazard had grown agitated and beaten his 76 and 83-year-old parents as he and his father helped his mother after a fall.
