A woman had an allergic reaction so severe that she was left paralysed, unable to move or speak, and lost her memory to such an extreme extent that she couldn't recognise herself.
Letícia Duarte, 22, from Rio de Janeiro, was left hospitalised after eating carrots , which caused her throat to swell shut and gave her a heart attack . The reaction from the rare allergy saw her forced to spend up to a month in the hosputal, and after waking she no longer knew who she was.
