HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - As winter weather becomes more common across Nebraska, drivers need to prepare for longer morning commutes that include properly clearing ice and snow from their vehicles.
Ice scrapers should be kept in convenient locations for easy access, but the scraping process requires more attention than just removing the top layer of snow.
“Once we get down from this first layer of snow, it is all ice on this windshield, So, even if you think you are going to be able to get your car up and running within the first few seconds, you’ve got to be worried about this ice,” said Local4’s Kiefer Zabel, as part of his demonstration.
