KENNESAW, Ga. — Kennesaw State is championship-bound after the Owls earned their spot in the 2025 Air National Guard Conference USA Championship Game after outlasting Liberty 48-42 in a wild double-overtime finish on Friday night.
The win sends KSU to Jacksonville next Friday for a rematch with Jacksonville State, which secured hosting duties the following day with a walk-off 37-34 victory. Both teams finished 7 and 1 in league play, but Jacksonville State owns the head-to-head tiebreaker after beating the Owls on November 15.
Kennesaw State heads into championship week at 9-3 overall, with the Owls having won nine of their last ten games and closed the regular season as co-champions of CUSA.
