Old Dominion closed out one of its most successful regular seasons with a 27–10 win over Georgia State in the 75th Oyster Bowl at S.B. Ballard Stadium. The Monarchs secured their fifth straight victory, finished 9–3 for the first time since 2016, and completed an unbeaten home record for only the third time in program history.

With the win, ODU strengthened its position for one of the Sun Belt Conference’s more favorable bowl opportunities. The team will learn its postseason destination on Sunday, December 7.

Running back Devin Roche delivered a standout performance, earning the Melvin T. Blassingham Oyster Bowl Most Valuable Player honor. He rushed 21 times for 137 yards and two touchdowns and added a pivotal 47-yard punt return that set up a go-ahead field goal early in the third quart
