When it comes to Christmas films, it's safe to say The Grinch ranks amongst many people's favourite choices, but there are some details about it that you might not be aware of. It emerges that Jim Carrey had to endure quite extraordinary measures to transform into the green character in How The Grinch Stole Christmas, and viewers claim it's "ruined" the film for them.

The tale surfaced on Reddit when a previous interview was posted featuring the star. Carrey featured on The Graham Norton Show several years ago when he revealed just how gruelling his experience on set was, and viewers were left astounded.
