A 12 year old girl fled in terror from a bus when a neighbour brandished an axe at her mother. Ollie Chalmers-Millington pulled the weapon from his jacket after hurling insults at the young girl, including calling her 'slag' and 'slapper'.
Preston Crown Court heard that the girl had boarded the bus in Blackpool with her mother and her mother's partner, taking a seat in front of them. Chalmers-Millington, accompanied by his girlfriend, got on the bus and began making derogatory comments towards the girl as they moved to their seats.
Prosecutor Katie Lord told the court that he believed the girl had played knock-a-door-run at his house the previous night.
The child's mother confronted Chalmers-Millington about the abuse but as she returned to her seat, he 'donkey kicked'
