MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Citywide plowing operations began at midnight, on Nov. 30, as the City of Madison received 9.3 inches of snow.
The city reports that progress will be slow through the day because of the depth of the snow that has accumulated. Plowing will continue into Sunday afternoon.
High winds are expected to cause drifting concerns, especially along the far edges of Madison near large, open and flat areas.
According to the city’s Streets Division, leaf collection was scheduled for Sunday, but is suspended until Spring of 2026 because of the snow.
“The snowstorm of November 29, 2025, was significant. It has created multiple days’ worth of clean-up work that will require staff to be diverted from leaf pickup duties,” the division said in a statement.
