PEORIA, Ill. – With the first snowstorm of the year complete, Peoria Public Works says snow clearing operations are going well.
In its Sunday morning update, Public Works says the city’s main arterial roads are in good condition and driveable.
Work to clear neighborhood streets began at midnight, with efforts focused on residential routes for Sunday.
Public Works says overall road conditions are good, but some areas may remain snow-covered and slippery. Reports to the National Weather Service indicate about 6” of snow fell through early Sunday morning.
The city does not have a parking ban in effect, but Public Works is asking people to take any cars off streets to help with snow clearing efforts.
