HOUSTON — QB1 is officially back for the Houston Texans, and the timing couldn’t be bigger.
Quarterback C.J. Stroud, who missed the last three games while in concussion protocol, will start today in a pivotal division matchup against the first-place Indianapolis Colts. The game kicks off today at noon on KHOU 11.
Backup Davis Mills led the Texans to three straight wins while Stroud was out, helping push Houston back over .500 and into the playoff picture.
Safety Jalen Pitre also cleared concussion protocol and is expected to return today. Defensive end Will Anderson Jr., who was held out of practice most of the week with a chest injury, returned Friday. When asked about his status, Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said, “Will is fine.”
