PORTSMOUTH, Va. — An adult man was hospitalized after a shooting Sunday morning in the 900 block of Suburban Parkway, according to the Portsmouth Police Department.

Police said officers were called to the area around 11:48 a.m. for a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics transported him to a local hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately released.

Police said the investigation remains active, and no additional details were available Sunday.
