What we know about attempted murder investigation in Altrincham so far

Police were called to reports of a 'disturbance' in Altrincham town centre shortly after 3.20am this morning (November 30). Four people were injured during the incident, with one suffering 'life changing' injuries and another in a serious but stable condition.

A 24-year-old man from the Partington area has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a section 18 assault. He remains in custody for questioning as enquiries continue.

One male in his 20s suffered facial injuries which are thought to be life-changing while a 21-year-old male suffered a wound to the chest. Both were taken to hospital. A 51-year old male and 52-year old female also received minor injuries as a result of 'being assaulted'
