Tragedy as body found in search for missing woman 'last seen at a garage'

A body has tragically been found in a search for a missing woman who vanished from home earlier today.

Warwickshire Police confirmed their officers had discovered a body during efforts to find Elaine. The 80-year-old was reported missing from Wellesbourne on Sunday morning, Nov 30.

She was last seen at a garage to the south of the county just after 6am, officers had said.

Now, in a tragic update this evening, the force says a body has been found. Her next of kin have been informed.

Police say her death is not being treated as suspicious. Officers thanked those who shared the earlier appeal for information on her whereabouts.

Warwickshire Police said: "We’re sad to report that a body has been found in the search for Elaine, who went missing from Wellesbourne this morning.
