A 50-year-old Connecticut man was killed in a morning crash on I-395 in Montville, authorities said.

Edward Mascola, of Haddam, was identified as the driver of a Subaru Legacy that struck the right guardrail near Exit 6 shortly before 7 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30, Connecticut State Police said.

The impact sent the car across the highway, where it crashed into a concrete barrier in the center median, authorities said. Paramedics rushed Mascola to an area hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

The crash is still under investigation.

Troopers are asking anyone who has information or video that could assist with the investigation to contact the Connecticut State Police Troop E barracks at 860-848-6500.
