Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin revealed his future to the college football world on Sunday morning by taking the vacant LSU job.

Kiffin will replace Brian Kelly in Baton Rouge, but will he stick around to coach Ole Miss in the College Football Playoff?

Unfortunately for Ole Miss fans, Kiffin's days as coach have come to an end, as he stated he won't return to Ole Miss in his goodbye message posted to social media after deciding to take the LSU job. Pete Golding is the reported choice to take on interim duties at Ole Miss.

This is a tough, tough break for Ole Miss fans who hoped Kiffin would at least stick around for the College Football Playoff game... or games.

Ole Miss understandably didn't want Kiffin pulling double duty as coach of two teams, so the program will now turn to Golding to lead it to a national title. It's not impossible, but it'll be a tougher path without Kiffin.
