OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Crews responded to a fire at a southwest Omaha storage facility Sunday morning.
The fire happened near 180th and Harrison around 6:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
Omaha Fire Department crews had to cut through the front gate at Public Storage to get to the scene. About 17 storage units were involved in the fire.
Seven of those units are considered a total loss and 10 had heavy smoke damage. Items lost in the blaze included an RV and two boats.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
Investigators are checking surveillance video to see if anyone was on scene before the fire started.
