Making his second career NFL start on Sunday, Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders is looking to build on last week’s victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.
Sanders was drafted in the fifth round out of Colorado, where he played for his father, NFL legend Deion Sanders. Many were surprised he slid that far in the draft, as most big boards projected him as a first-round talent.
After spending time behind Joe Flacco and then Dillon Gabriel, Sanders finally got his opportunity. And during the first half on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers, he delivered — making a perfect read to tight end Harold Fannin Jr. for a 34-yard touchdown, the second TD pass of his career, keeping Cleveland firmly in the game at halftime.
