MACON, Ga. — A Macon restaurant that has been closed for over a year is set to be open once again.

Bearfoot Tavern announced on their social media that their soft opening is on Friday.

The restaurant's roof and structure were damaged over a year ago because of severe weather conditions. After months of renovations-- and operating out of a food truck-- the restaurant is set to reopen for customers to enjoy once again.

"After a solid 19-month nap (hey, hibernation is serious business), we are finally rubbing the sleep out of our eyes," they said in the post. "We’re ready to party, but apparently... our custom booths are still hitting the snooze button at the factory."
